BROXTED VILLAGE HALL

The Parish Council has now formally taken over the sole trusteeship of the Village Hall charity, and is responsible for its day-to-day management.

At the public meeting held last November a number of people expressed an interest in being involved in the future of the hall. Another meeting was held on Wednesday 16th May, to form a new management committee, responsible for the running of the hall, applying for grants and organising maintenance and improvements, and to make a list of ‘carers’ prepared to help with regular cleaning and maintenance.

The hall is a valuable asset of the village and it is hoped that, with the Parish Council now shouldering the financial burden of the hall, it can be given a new lease of life. If you are prepared to help in any way whatsoever, please contact the Clerk to the Council, Phyllis Clark, on 01279 850638.
