The Diary of Events lists the activities at the hall but Barbara, who looks after Village Hall lettings, describes these in a little more detail. She writes:
"On Monday evening at 7.30 pm is the Country and Western Line Dance class, while half an hour earlier on a Tuesday, our Ladies only Latin Line Dance class takes to the floor. Both these classes are anxious to swell their numbers.
"Latin and Ballroom partner classes are also run on both days. Monday at 8.30 pm is for absolute beginners, so if you've ever wanted to try and shine at a Christmas party or you have a wedding coming up and you will be called upon to perform a few steps, then this is the class for you. If you can already put one or two steps together, then our improver class will welcome you at 8pm on a Tuesday.
"In all these classes our tutor Derek is most patient and will afford you every consideration. Many class members, especially the gentlemen, have been amazed at what they have achieved in just a few weeks. If you still have holidays coming up, don't worry, join now. Arrangements can always be made to cover any missed lessons.
"Saturday mornings see our low impact ‘Aerobics and Relaxation Class’ for early risers. This is particularly good if you are well into middle age, or are over weight, suffering from limited mobility, recovering from surgery, have a heart condition or are suffering from stress. All these categories of people need to exercise but in a limited and controlled way and that is what this class seeks to address. (N.B. This is not a body building class). The early start means an early finish so your Saturday is still free for shopping or household jobs.
"Derek will be pleased to explain this further if you call him on 01279 850761."
