Stop Stansted Expansion

Minutes of a Special Meeting of The Parish Council held on
Wednesday, 10th April 2002
in the Village Hall at 8.00 p.m.
to Adopt the New Code of Conduct for Elected members and to Consider any other Urgent Matters
Present were:
Mr R. Clark, Miss Collinson, Mrs Flook, Mrs Kesterton, Mr Knowles, Mrs Oliveira, Mrs Clark (Clerk) and one member of the public.
Apologies for Absence
There were no apologies for absence.

The model code had previously been circulated to all members. It was unanimously agreed that it be adopted without amendment, proposed by Mrs Flook and seconded by Mr Clark. The Clerk would advise the Standards Board accordingly.
Signing of the New Declarations of Acceptance of Office
All members duly signed the new Declaration of Acceptance of Office.
Register of Members Interests
Returns were duly completed by all members. The Clerk would send copies to the Monitoring Office, Tony Forrow at Uttlesford as required.
Any Other Business
Resignation
It was noted, with regret, that Mr M. Clark had resigned following his recent move from the village. The Clerk would advise Uttlesford in order that the procedure for finding a replacement could be put in hand. She was also asked to write a letter of thanks to Mr Clark, and to put a note in the Five Parishes Magazine.
Friends of the Earth
Details of two meetings being organised by the above to discuss the proposed expansion of the airport had been received. These were to be held in Bishop's Stortford on 25th April and Saffron Walden on 16th May. Mrs Oliveira expressed some interest in attending the meeting in Bishop's Stortford.
Stansted Airport Expansion Planning Meeting
Notification of an opportunity to speak at a meeting of the Development Control and Licensing Committee on 18th April at 2.00 p.m. at Dunmow or 24th April at 7.30 p.m in Saffron Walden had been received. Both Mr Clark and Mrs Oliveira agreed to attend, but neither wished to speak.
Date of the Next Meeting
This was again confirmed as taking place on Wednesday, 8th May following the Annual Parish Assembly, which was to be held at 7.30 p.m., and attended by representatives of the local police.
The meeting closed at 8.35 p.m.
